How fun are these owls!? I am in love with this fun piece!
I always have a hard time photographing glass to get the best color and no glare. I tried to get some close ups to see the detail and those fun cabochon eyes!
The holidays were busy with a lot of mosaic work- but come January and I am bored! I took advantage of this time to work on a fun mosaic of owls. For some reason I have a strange obsession with owls lately. They are just so darn cute! And obviously I had some fun with these colors. I will post a pic when it's complete!
We just installed this mirror at our friends house a few weekends ago. It was hilarious to have four adults in one small powder room leveling and hanging this mirror. Turned out so pretty though. I love it!
These two mosaics show the ONLY time that I have ever agreed to repeat a subject matter and make 2 mosaics so similar. The one with the blue background was ordered first for my friends house of the beloved family dog, Bing Bing. After her father saw the artwork he wanted one for his house as well! She is a pretty cute dog, isn't she?
I am posting a few older pictures because I have been so behind with sharing them! Last year this piece was commissioned by my good friends, the Patels. At first I was a little overwhelmed with such a detailed project- but it ended up being really fun! It looks gorgeous on the wall in their dining room.
I just finished this mirror. It will be auctioned off at a silent auction May 8th at the annual Crystal Ball in New Brunswick, NJ to benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). This is a great international foundation that is dedicated to finding a cure for juvenile diabetes. Check them out: http://www.jdrf.org/
