This mosaic was a lot of fun to do. I love having to take a photograph with me to the glass store to match colors perfectly. It took just the right colors in the sky and water to capture that morning glistening reflection.

Lulu's Rescue Artwork

Last October, my husband and I made the decision to adopt a dog. We decided to use the rescue organization, Lulu's Rescue in eastern PA.

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about the amazing people that volunteer at Lulu's every week to save sweet puppies like Jersey. They put so much of their own precious time and energy into making a difference for one dog at a time.

Jersey is our pride and joy. He is a very happy lab mix with a big heart for everyone. He has become one popular boy. (he even has his own facebook page! http://www.facebook.com/people/Jersey-Buns-Dailor/100002471738952)

When we heard that Lulu's was hosting an Art Auction to benefit their organization we knew we had to get involved!

This pop art glass mosaic was inspired by Jersey himself! :)

I had to hang it up temporarily to make sure it 'worked'. But then I didn't want to take it down!! :( I think it looked pretty good in our hallway! ha ha

Anyways... best of luck to Lulu's this weekend! :) I hope you raise lots of money to help spay/neuter/save more puppies like Jersey.

Van Gogh for JDRF

I made this mosaic for the JDRF Gala Fundraiser in New Brunswick.
My inspiration was Van Gogh's 12 Sunflowers Painting.
It measures 30" x 40". I used both store bought globs and hand made miniature globs for the seeds. The kiln my husband bought me for my birthday about 5 years ago comes in handy for things like that! :) I also used some round and square mirror tile. It has a lot of shine.

I had to include one with my dog Jersey! He was so sweet just laying around while I worked on it for so many hours.

The letters at the top of this mosaic are actually fused glass. (in the kiln that my dear husband bought me!) If you look close you can see another mosaic I made in the reflection in the mirror! Hint: it's lite up! =)

I always have a hard time photographing glass to get the best color and no glare. I tried to get some close ups to see the detail and those fun cabochon eyes!

For some reason I have a strange obsession with owls lately. They are just so darn cute! And obviously I had some fun with these colors. I will post a pic when it's complete!

We just installed this mirror at our friends house a few weekends ago. It was hilarious to have four adults in one small powder room leveling and hanging this mirror. Turned out so pretty though. I love it!

This poster size mosaic measures 24" x 36".

It was really fun to work with such vivid colors on this piece. I love the contrast.

As much as I am not a sports fan this turned out to be one of my favorite pieces!

These two mosaics show the ONLY time that I have ever agreed to repeat a subject matter and make 2 mosaics so similar. The one with the blue background was ordered first for my friends house of the beloved family dog, Bing Bing. After her father saw the artwork he wanted one for his house as well! She is a pretty cute dog, isn't she?

At first I was a little overwhelmed with such a detailed project- but it ended up being really fun! It looks gorgeous on the wall in their dining room.

I just finished this mirror. It will be auctioned off at a silent auction May 8th at the annual Crystal Ball in New Brunswick, NJ to benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Mom & Dad's House in the fall

I did this piece as a gift for my parents. It was done from a photograph that my mom had taken in the fall. I love the colors in this one and the abstractness. The branch and leaves just in front of the "camera" are so vivid and defined while the trees beyond the house are so much more like a George Seurat painting.

Brown Eyed Susans

This piece is for sale and measures 24" x 24". I just love the patch of brown eyed susans that we have in our garden in the back so I thought I should do a mosaic of them. The bright cornflower blue background is a perfect cloudless summer sky!

Gosh, these penguins are so adorable! Someone asked me to re-create the work of her 6 yr old grandson into glass so that it would last forever. I just love the simplicity and bright colors.

Adirondack Lake

This Adirondack panoramic scene was a lot of fun to do. I had to search for just the right glass for the mountains, but I knew when I had found it. The mountains in upstate NY are so unique and green because of all the evergreens.

Starry Night!

I was totally overwhelmed when I was first asked to re-create Starry Night in glass. But as the project progressed it became very exciting. This mosaic has all the others beat for the number of pieces used for sure! It took a lot of patience with the tweezers helping me, but it was worth it!

I usually like to work in stained glass, but every once in a while I just get in the mood to paint. These are some fun fish paintings. The one of the red snapper with the blue background is for sale. It measures 12" x 24". The other one hangs on the wall in our living room. Love all that color!

These pics are of an old window that I mosaiced on. The hammock on the beach is very inviting, isn't it? Depending on the light shining thru the window the picture takes on a totally different feel!

My latest project was doing the backsplash in our kitchen.
This was the before and after shot.
It was quite the project doing the countertop and sink. My husband and I learned a lot! The backsplash was the really fun part! I got to use my favorite colors and get the really modern look I wanted. The glass is so pretty and shiny... I love it!
